The Mountain Bike Capital of the Midwest invites you to kick off the season with 18 and 27 mile races on some of the best mountain bike trails in the Cable Area!
The Cable Area Off-Road Classic consists of 18 and 27 mile point to point mountain bike races in and around the Chequamegon National Forest and Sawyer and Bayfield County Forests including some of the famous CAMBA trails.
Both races start at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at The Lakewoods, 7 miles east of Cable on County Highway M. The finish will be in downtown Cable. Bus transportation to the start area will be provided. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in the 27 mile race. Blue Moon Pottery plaques or medals will also be presented to the top tandem and top 3 male and female finishers in five year age class categories in both races. Approved helmets required for all events.
Registration and Bib Pick-up: Friday, May 13 - 4:00-9:00 P.M. at the Cable Area Chamber of Commerce; Saturday, May 14 - 7:00 - 9:00 A.M. at The Lakewoods. All race participants receive a pair of custom race socks or a $5.00 voucher redeemable at area businesses.
