Kananaskis Country
Trail description: The Heart Creek-Jewell Pass trail to Barrier Dam has been declared a section of the TCT. It is suitable for hiking and mountain biking. To the north the Bow Valley Connector runs 7 km trail from Deadmans Flat to Heart Creek. The trail will cross the BC border through Peter Lougheed Provincial south into Elk Lakes Provincial Park.

Lodging: Several choices are in K-country and nearby at Canmore. A hostel is at Ribbon Creek. Camping: About 25 campgrounds throughout the park. Sundance Lodges at Nakiska has wood-floored tipis (about $50-60 for two persons) Bike shops: Canmore, Bragg Creek Weather forecast: Canmore Tourism info: Kananaskis Valley Getting to the trails: Highway 40 runs north-south through the park.
