Norman Rockwell would be proud of our sliding areas and the scenic surroundings they're on. Most of all he'd love painting the children's smiling faces after they've slid down our hills. Sliding is a popular winter activity on the Iron Trail. Take a sip of hot chocolate and then slide down on a toboggan with the entire family on our scenic, snowy winter hills.

The Laskiainen Winter Sliding Festival, (218) 638-2303 takes place every February in the Town of White and is a hugely popular event that attracts thousands of guests to experience their one of a kind sliding hills. Children will smile all day long as they travel hundreds of feet in a safe slide channel or as they take rides on the Vipu Kelkka, a specially designed Finnish whip sled.

Ask your lodging facility where the nearest sliding area is and they'll be happy to direct you for a day of fun and excitement.
