Bosch Fuel injection valve in K- and KE-Jetronic
Parts:
a) Closed

1. Valve housing
2. Filter
3. Valve needle
4. Valve seat
At a certain pressure, the injectors open against the pressure from the valve-needle spring and inject fuel into the intake manifold. The fuel is atomized by the operation of the valve needle. The needle valve vibrates audibly at high frequency, resulting in excellent fuel atomization.
