ADDventure to your vacation and take a ride on the wild side of Cozumel with an option of riding your own ATV or comfortably doubling up with a partner. You will explore trails leading you to the island's great reefs and Mayan ruins.
You will be transported to the east coast of Cozumel where this guided tour will start at the popular Mescalito's Bar heading 16 KM through a beautiful coastal trail that leads you through the jungle to a secluded beach protected by Hanan Barrier Reef. Then it's off to the reef by paddling in a kayak to snorkel out at the reef that is about 300 yards away. At this point we get on the kayaks and paddle our way to the reef£r best snorkel sites. The reef stretches along 2 miles and its clear crystal waters do not exceed 18 feet allowing you to admire its colors and fish from close by. After an exciting snorkel experience, kayak back to the sandy white beach for for snacks and soft drinks. Back on the ATV, you continue through the sand dunes to La Palma ruin.
The ATV's are semi-automatic and very easy to operate. The minimum age to participate is 6 years old. The minimum age to drive is 16 years old with a valid driver's license. For safety reasons, the weight limit per ATV is 350 pounds. Maximum is 20 ATVs per tour. Those who are pregnant or suffer from back, neck or similar medical problems should not book this tour. Kayaking and snorkeling subject to sea conditions.
(In case of rough sea conditions preventing water activities the tour make s a stop at Hanan Beach and clients are given the option to continues all the way to Castillo Real ruin.)

*Kayaking and snorkeling are subject to sea conditions. If weather is not suitable for kayaking and snorkeling, this portion of the tour will be replaced with additional ATV riding time to another Mayan ruin, Castillo Real.
Recommend: A hat, bathing suit under your clothes, towel and sunscreen. If you get chilly easily, a long sleeve shirt. Don't forget your camera!
Castillo Real Ruin Replacement
A scenic trail to the awe inspiring Castillo Real ruin which overlooks the Caribbean Sea. This ruin is approximately 1200 years old and served the Mayans as an astronomical observatory. In the 15th century the Spanish arrived to the island naming the ruin the Royal Castle.
It was used as a curtail point to direct ships coming to trade with the natives of the island. Along the way you will pass by Coastal scenery, full canopy jungle, rocky sections and deep sandy areas so this tour has something for everyone. On your return journey you will also visit La Palma ruin. A beautiful coastal trail which leads you to La Palma ruin. This important temple was dedicated to Ixchel the Maya Goddess of love, health and fertility. It is 800 years old and on the nearby shores there are some impressive blowholes.
Castillo Real Ruin replaces the snorkel/kayak when weather is too poor for snorkel/kayak portion of tour.

Pick up available for groups of 8 or more staying at hotels south of town. Very easy to get to the starting location. All details, instructions and contact numbers are provided in tour voucher. There is one taxi system. From the Punta Langosta Pier, meeting location is across the bridge from the pier - a couple of minutes walk.
