Rework / Recover / Custom Work
We can do ALMOST anything
Saddle Reworking:
Most riders (somewhere in the neighborhood of 90%) find the ergo's of the Corbin saddle just about perfect, right out of the box. However, people do come in all shapes and sizes so the need for saddle reworking does happen. On your new saddle, we will rework the foam shape for you once at no-charge 'cause we want you to love it (let's call it a warranty). The only catch is if the saddle needs a new cover because of the modified shape of the foam. In that case a recover charge would apply (but most reworks don't need a new cover). If you needed additional reworks on the saddle, however unlikely, we would have to charge shop time.
Now let's say you picked up a used bike and it has a Corbin saddle already on it (lucky you). If you need that saddle reworked for your stature we can do that too, but we'll have to charge for shop time. This happens usually when the original owner of the saddle has already had the seat modified to their specs. If you think you need some mods to the shape of your seat, just drop us a line for an accurate quote.
Lastly, some riders ask if we can rework their stock seat foam to their needs. In a word... "Nope". Sorry, but we believe that the stock unit has flaws that begin with the basepan. Besides, we would never try to guarantee the comfort of a reshaped stock foam material. Sorry, but we did say "...ALMOST anything."
By the way, as a new service to our riding friends on the East coast, we can now do minor saddle modifications and repairs at our Daytona Store. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in and talk to Corbin Daytona to make the determination.
