Scooter MD Services has been in business since November 1998. Prior, the business was operated from our home and was known as Westcan Performance Cycle, a very small operation that began in 1992 and slowly built its way from being a dream to a reality. We are a small mom and pop shop. We pride ourselves on providing you with fast, friendly, and honest service.
"Scooter Md" was a nickname given to Dennis by a friend in Montreal and was thought to be a much better name for the scooter shop...it did in fact contain the word "scooter". The business is run and owned entirely by Dennis (or Matthias) and Heather. Dexter, handles security (even though he would probably just lick you to death).

We are:

Dennis (AKA Matthias; pronounced mah-TEE-is) is a co-owner of Scooter Md. He has been involved with scooters since 1984. He graduated from BCIT in 1995 where he obtained a Motorcycle Mechanics ELTT certificate. He's been working as a professional mechanic ever since. In 2004, with the re-entry of Vespa into Canada, he became a certified Piaggio/Vespa Technician (ET2/4, GT). He loves all 2-stroke motorcycles. On top of owning many Vespa's and Lambretta's he also owns several Yamaha RD's. He's someone you can trust with your scooter because he loves it almost as much as you do.
Heather is a co-owner of Scooter Md. She is a graduate from CDI and BCIT where she obtained several certificates in accounting. She enjoys riding her scooters and motorcycles (when time permits). On top of taking calls and keeping the books in order she also handles shipping of your mail-orders. She is often found at the boxing gym duking it out with anyone her size. She is a red belt in Hapkido and and is also an assistant instructor in . She also instructs a .
Dexter doesn't do a whole hell of a lot. He's often found sleeping. He was born in Montreal on Jan 1, 1997. He was kindly rescued from the SPCA at the age of just 4 months. Isn't he adorable?
