Exciting News and Changes For 2005 Back Again - No online registration processing fees
Save money by registering online! Three New Races
We are very excited to announce three great new races. The first is in response to your feedback in the post-race survey. On June 4, 2005 we will be hosting an Off-Road Triathlon at Fanshawe Lake in London. The Fanshawe Lake Off-Road Triathlon and Duathlon is already generating a buzz in the triathlon and duathlon community.
The other new race brings Triathlon and Duathlon back to Toronto. Our tentative race date for the The 1st Annual Toronto Triathlon at Clarke Beach is July 17, 2005. We anticipate an official announcement on January 12, 2005.
The Binbrook Triathlon is an early season race in the Hamilton/Niagara area. This will be a great early season race with well paved roads for the bike course and a nice run course. The 2005 Ontario Long Course Challenge
MultiSport Canada and the K-Town Triathlon in Kingston are teaming up again! The awards for the Ontario Long Course Challenge will be based on the best results for two out of three long course races this summer. To qualify all you have to do is race in the long course race in Kingston and either the Long Course race in Collingwood or the Half Iron Distance Triathlon in Parry Sound. If you do both Collingwood and Parry Sound we will take the better result in the awards calculation.
Racers will receive points based on their time compared to the winning time for their event, expressed as a percentage (i.e. Winning Time divided by Your Time multiplied by 100). The male and female winners of the race receive 100 points. The times for the overall male and female winners of the race are then used as the base for calculating the points for the rest of the competitors. There will be two categories Under 40 and Over 40 with the top three men and women in each receiving a plaque celebrating their accomplishments.
Here is an example of how we will calculate the points for each race:
Winner 4:10 = 100 points 2nd 4:15 (4:10/4:15) = 98 points) Under 40 3rd 4:20 (4:10/4:20) = 96.1 points) Over 40 4th 4:45 (4:10/4:45) = 87.7 points) Over 40 5th 5:35 (4:10/5:35) = 74.6 points) Under 40 2005 OAT Provincial Championship Races
The 2005 Provincial Duathlon Championships will be on August 14, 2005 in Cobourg. The all new OAT Provincial Short Course Championship (750/20/5) will be in Welland on July 3, 2005. 2005 Clydesdale Championship Series Races

We have developed a new program that we hope will introduce more people to Triathlon and Duathlon while showing support for all Triathlon/Duathlon Clubs and multisport coaches. The MultiSport Canada Club Reward system will reward clubs for their participation at MultiSport Canada events and allow your club to raise money for club purposes or give back to your members.
