As it was agended the 2nd Slalom in Figueirinha Beach would take place last Saturday , the 15th , day before the 1st Yamaha Tour - along upway the Sado River
This would also be the first Slalom in the Sea ,? (the previous ones were in dams).? The truth is that we were not able to do this Slalom - everything was prepared - at the Beach everything was ready - due to the fact that the place allowed by the authorities to place the buoys was precisely between the estuary of the Sado river and the sea therefore the current was very strong , motivated by the rising of the tide. What happened was that the Slalom was consecutively dragged into the river , and sometimes completely drowned. Fortunately everything ended ok, without any serious problems. On Sunday , the 16th we had with a huge success and participations record in Portugal the 1st Yamaha Tour , with 71 Yamaha waverunners? and 120 participants.
Here everything went very well without surprises.
Please find attached a photo we took on the beach were the Slalom was suppose to happen .....we even had special t-shirts for the participants.
