Fosse Way Rally Results
A letter sent to Alex at Mini Spares following the Rally:
Alex,
Fosse Way Rally on Fri. (Feb. 23, 2001) 277BRX retired when in the lead by about 15 minutes, when the rh drive shaft came out of the CV joint after a heavy landing on a white road. Very disappointing! But this was a shakedown event. My son Spencer with his navigator Kyle in 227 CRX got round the route but missed a number of controls as the there was no novices class and they had to work out the expert instructions on their first event.
CRX is still running with a 998 cooper engine as we are still building the 1293 to be ready for Ypres when it will be driven by Trevor Hancock.
I have attached some pictures of BRX last year, one on Ypres and one at Monteberg.
