The near-production specification 911 GT3 RSR racing car should continue to allow private teams to compete with the best of the field in international Gran Turismo racing in 2005 as well and to continue the successes achieved with the predecessor models.
In addition to its other wins, the GT3 R/RS was victorious in its class at the Le Mans 24-Hour Race six times in succession between 1999 and 2004. This Porsche advanced to become the record and title winner in the American Le Mans Series and the FIA GT Championship, as well as securing the overall victory at the Daytona 24-Hour Race at the beginning of 2003.
