Customer Reviews:- Very Happy
Wanted a stick vacuum but was not sure I wanted a cordless. This vacuum is used mostly on tile and hardwood floors and it works great. You do have to clean filter out often but that is not a problem. My old cannister is going in the trash.
It is great for small pick ups or the whole house. I also use it on an outdoor carpet in our screen room and with the beater bar running picks up everything.
I am truly amazed at what this thing picks up, far beyond my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this to my family and friends. Very good product. ...more info - A sad excuse for a cordless vacuum
The Eureka cordless vacuum is very poorly designed. Emptying the dust/dirt holder is not easy and can't be done without a lot of direct contact with the contents. The size of the vacuuming nozzle is too small. The battery charging cradle does not keep adequate contact with the extra battery. The entire unit is cumbersome and not user-friendly. ...more info - nice little vac.!
Over the years I have had several of these "little suckers" (stick vac.s from Eureka), all have worked well, and this one is also very nice. It does not have the suction of a bigger vac., obviously, but it is great for light vacuuming throughout the week. I think it works better on carpeted floors. It doesn't get every little item from under my cupboards, but does get the majority. Once a week I still need to go around with a broom or a hand vac. under the cupboards to get it really clean.
NOTE: I ordered the one from Beach Camera (excellent service, by the way). It showed a silver picture but it is the purple vac.! At first I was quite disappointed and I thought it would really stick out, in a bad way, in my bedroom and kitchen, but the color actually isn't bad at all, and does not stand out like I was afraid it would. If you want the silver, make sure you ask the vendor before purchasing it what color it is!...more info - Eureka Quick Up Vacuum
I bought this lightweight stick vacuum to use on my laminate wood floor in my kitchen, dining room and foyer and for a little vacuum it does a great job. It is easy to empty and the filter is easy to clean. It has a setting for bare floors or carpet. I mostly use it on the the floors and use it clean the small throw rugs in my kitchen and by the front door. It is great at picking up the dog hair and crumbs after dinner. One negative, I feel like the handle is flimsy and I have to tighten it up very often. I have never used it as a hand vacuum, I bought it to use as quick pick up in between vacuuming of my floors. A full charge will last me about 15 minutes. I used it once on my carpet in the living room and it died about 7 minutes into vacuuming. Ideal vacuum for bare floors at a great price....more info - Best Little Vacuum
I love this litte vacuum. It's great for everyday picking up on tile floors & loose dirt of carpets. The beater bar makes it a notch above a stick vacuum without brushes. I use it everyday for picking up kitty litter and loose dirt and it works great. Don't buy it for using on carpets exclusively unless you plan to use a big vacuum once a week. This is the third one of these I've had over the years. Couldn't be without one....more info - Great for the price
This stick vac is just right for what I wanted it for...cleaning up small messes in the kitchen and touch ups else where. Our cat is not allowed in the rest of the house and so is confined to the kitchen/family room. Without the handle, I can easily get rid of most of the cat hair on the couch in a jiffy. With the handle attached, I can get the cat hair that just blows around when I broom. In the rest of the house, it's powerful enough to clean the carpets between regular vacuuming sessions whenever they need to be spruced up in a hurry. For less than $40 I think I got a great little item! The only negative is that the stick handle is attached with only one spring button holding it in place...so it's not a tight, secure fit and because of all the movement where it's attached, I figure that this will be where it will break first. But, even then, if I'm left with basically a Dust-Buster with attached rotating brushes, I'll be happy....more info - Ideal for my uses
Light-weight: It doesn't make my arm tired while running it over the house.
Durable: I've been know to be pretty hard on appliances, it has taken my daily abuse.
Good suction: I have hardwood and tile floors throughout the house. I have 3 cats, it picks up kitty litter, hair and food messes. If it's not picking up a slightly larger item (i.e. cat food kibble, a leaf, small stick, etc.) lift the brushes over it... more times than not, it will pick it up.
Battery life: It is cordless, and that is a huge plus. But the battery life is just okay. I bought a back up battery and I'm glad I did. If you are doing a larger job, you will need it.
Emptying waste: It is a little bit difficult to pry open the door to dump the waste. If you have nails, it will be especially tough.
Other notes: You aren't able to remove the brush to clean it. ...more info - Great Product
This vacuum is terrific. It's very light weight yet powerful enough to pick up pet hair. I really like that you can use it on floors and carpet, and there's no cord to deal with. This is my "go to" vacuum for the small jobs. ...more info - Eureka 96F Cordless Quick-Up
Our old Eureka/The Boss finally died after fifteen years and we needed a new one. This sweeper is wonderful. It is so powerful and so easy to use. We are very pleased with it and are very happy we purchased it. The price was great as well! Thank you for having it available!

I have had this item for over a year. Only good thing was it was on clearance for $12.50 i would NEVER pay more than $10 for it.
Oh sure like every vacuum out there it works fine the first few times you use it, however the biggest issue i had with this was the design is horrible. You take out the dust cup then have to remove the filter and hope you don't jostle it too much and get it all over yourself and the floor that you just tried to vacuum. Does not pick up well on floor mode and on carpet mode it just starts to push stuff around after about the 12th time of using it.
Does not get corners well and lost suction faster than any other stick vac i have used. I would never tell anyone to get this thing unless you have money to waste.
Also seems the more you take out the dust cup the less it will stay in from the wear and tear of being removed plus the handle gets loose after time too. Also i have yet to find a filter replacement for this and since it is not a washable until which by now every vacuum should have you will end up spending problably just as much to buy a new unit as you will to get a new filter. The filter will not hold up too much after three months of light use.
Not a good product. ...more info - WORTHLESS
I purchased this based on all the excellent reviews... all I can say is they must have all been written by the seller. Unless you are only trying to pick up invisible dust don't bother. The suction is terrible... and that is when it works at all. Many times I take this off the charger and turn it on and there is NO suction and it is merely moving the dust around. Save your money and don't make the mistake I did... I now have a useless wall ornament that is destined for our already overcrowded landfills. All I wanted was something quick for light pick-pickups between cleanings and it can't even accomplish that... now I have to go spend MORE money on a better product. I wish people would be honest in reviews so that consumers like me would not end up throwing money away on worthless products.
Editing to add: Amazing to me so many people downrank my review because it is negative. That's great if you like yours but I think a truthful review is FAR FAR more helpful than the "works great!" comments... I based my purchase on the positive reviews and what a mistake! I wish more people would post honest comments and take the time to mark things down tht don't work.. it would save people money and help them choose a product that will work well for them....more info - Perfect for a Quick Cleanup
This is the second Eureka "stick" vacuum I have owned. The first one performed admirably for many years, but the battery finally gave out. So I replaced it with the newest model which did not cost much more than just buying another battery. Obviously, I am very happy with this product. It hangs on the wall in the supplied charger, ready to go instantly. No cords or wall plugs to mess with; just lift up and start vacuuming. Take off the quick-disconnect handle and it becomes a hand vac for cleaning out my cars.
The light weight, the ease of use, and the low price make this ideal for small jobs....more info - Eureka Cordless/rechargeable Vacuum, Model 96 D/F
This is the second one of these I have purchased within 6 months time! Need I say more? Of course it's not so powerful as those 20-pound plugged in models, so don't expect that kind of suction. But for quick pickups, or if you cannot carry the big ones up and down stairs, this is a satisfactory substitute. The rotating brush slows it down just a little, but it's worth the tradeoff to pick up lint, etc., on carpet. I highly recommend it... and the price is right!...more info - Love it
This is a great, convenient vac. Works well on carpet and bare floor for quick pick-ups....more info - Perfect for Hard Surface Floors
I've owned this vac for over a year and have to say that it's perfect for what it was intended. My entire kitchen and living room area are hard wood and constantly have a host of crumbs and dirt from shoes from my husband and kids. We don't have any pets but we have plenty of crushed Cheerios from my 1 year old and 5 year old.
First off, this is the second cordless vac I've owned and I was constantly frustrated w/the bad battery life of my old one. So right when I bought this I went to the website and bought an extra battery. Do yourself a favor and do this!! I leave one plugged in all the time and switch out before each time I vacuum. (manual says it's ok to leave plugged in all the time without damaging) This way I always have a full battery and have plenty of juice to sweep the whole floor.
Let's be realistic...this is basically a Dust Buster on a stick. I didn't replace my main vacuum with this but have found that it has excellent suction on my hard wood floor and has no problem at all sucking up daily debris. In fact, it does better on my hard wood than my Hoover. Will it pick up entire Cheerios at a time? No, but it's not a shop vac folks!
I empty the dirt cup about every other time and when the filter gets gross from wool fuzz from my area rugs I just use the hose from my regular vacuum to suck it clean. (I've also bought a couple of replacement filters over the year from their website but only have replaced it once.)
I love this vacuum and have recommended it to all of my friends....more info - Great Little Quick Pick Up Vac!!
Just what I was looking for. Powerful enough for most quick pick up jobs.
Plus NO cord to deal with!!...more info - I'm happy with this purchase
This is a nicely designed little stick vac. It performs quite well, I got the 96DZ which includes 2 batteries. The filter MUST be kept clean for the best performance, the dirt cup will need to be emptied often and the filter knocked against a post (outside!) or a tree to get the fine dust off. If the vac can't breathe, it won't clean! I use this vac on my hallway and area rugs that my upright would choke on. The suction and the revolving brush together do a nice job on these rugs. It is NOT a deep cleaner, but removes surface debris, cat hair. When I notice that it's not picking up kitty kibble from the bare kitchen floor, it's time to empty the dirt cup, clean the filter and maybe change the battery.

Update: With time, if the batteries are not allowed to fully discharge, they can develop a memory effect. Suggest fully discharging maybe once a month to keep them performing at their peak.
The handle is very comfortable and doesn't need to be removed for use on furniture, just tuck it under an arm and hold it by its lower handle! It's super light, only 5 pounds and is very well balanced for carrying by the lower handle. I don't worry about the top handle breaking, just don't exert any pressure on it.
The nozzle lies flat on the carpet while cleaning under furniture (the Electrolux Espido(SP?) doesn't. This one doesn't need a 'swivel' nozzle, it is perfect just as it is and I have no regrets in this purchase!

I bought this to replace a similar cordless vacuum I had before. The vacuum works as advertised. It's light-weight cordless and very easy to use. The only complaint I have is that charger is not as easy to disconnect as it could be unless you choose to mount it to the wall. The vacuum is very handy to have in the kitchen or eating area....more info - Top Notch Product
I've had my Eureka Quick Up 96D for over a year now and I absolutely love it! If you're expecting the level of suction that you get from a standard corded vacuum, you'll be sorely disappointed. However, for light duty touch-ups in between regular vacuuming, it's an indispensable tool. The battery lasts longer on the bare floor setting, but I use the carpet setting for all surfaces because the rotating brush is exceptional at getting up debris such as clay cat litter. It's easy to carry, use, empty and store, and there's no restrictive, annoying cord to have to roll up or get tangled in. I love mine so much that I've come back to purchase a second so that I can have one handy on both floors of my house. Comparison shoppers: after calling Eureka Customer Service to find out the difference between models, I was told that the Eureka Quick Up 96B, 96D and 96DZ are all essentially the same vacuum, just different colors. After inquiring about purchasing an additional rechargeable battery via their parts department, I was also told that some -- not all -- of the 96B & 96D models, were issued in special promotional packaging, and include an extra battery pack right in the box at no extra charge. Great bonus! Buy with confidence. This product is well worth the money. ...more info - great!
Lightweight, CORDLESS, good suction. Doesn't do corners well, but I bought it for quick, everyday use, not deep cleaning. ...more info
