Phil Rizzuto overcame his diminutive size to anchor the superb New York Yankees teams that won nine pennants and seven World Series during his 13 big league seasons. He was a durable outstanding shortstop skilled bunter and enthusiastic base runner with a solid .273 lifetime batting average. Rizzuto was an All-Star five times and was named the American League MVP in 1950 when he peaked with a .324 average 200 hits and a .439 slugging percentage. After finishing out his playing days Rizzuto went on to enjoy a long career as a Yankees broadcaster and was known to yell Holy Cow! whenever a Yankees player made a great play in the field or came up with a timely hit. Phil Rizzuto has hand signed this AL Baseball and wrote teh inscription Scooter. A Jimmy Spene Authentic (JSA) Certificate is included.
